Accepting these terms

By installing or using YourOwnWaifu you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Who may use it

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, whichever is greater. The app is intended for adults.

What the service is

YourOwnWaifu is an entertainment application. The companion is a language model with a persona, not a person. Anything it says is generated text and may be wrong, made up, or inappropriate. It is not advice — not medical, legal, financial, or psychological — and it must not be relied on as such. If you are in distress, contact a qualified professional or an emergency service in your country.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Generate sexual content involving minors, or anything that sexualises a minor, in any form.
• Generate content that harasses, threatens, defames, or incites violence against real people.
• Produce illegal content, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
• Impersonate a real person without their consent.
• Attempt to extract our credentials, abuse the rate limits, resell access, or automate requests at scale.
• Reverse-engineer or interfere with the service's operation.

We may block an install or an IP address that breaks these rules, without notice.

Content and reporting

Model output is generated automatically and is not reviewed before you see it. If the companion produces something harmful or inappropriate, long-press the message in the app and report it — those reports are how the persona and safety settings get improved.

Availability

The service is provided free of charge and runs on limited capacity. There are daily request limits, and it may be slow, interrupted, or unavailable. We may change, limit, or discontinue any part of it at any time.

Your content

What you type stays yours. We do not claim ownership of your messages or of the characters you create, and we do not retain your conversations. You are responsible for what you send.

Third-party assets

The app uses the Live2D Cubism runtime and character models supplied with it. Those remain the property of their respective owners and are licensed for use inside this app only; you may not extract or redistribute them.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top of this page reflects the current version, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
